Ohio Hi-Point Career Center’s vision and mission go beyond the immediate needs of current students and businesses. They include the input and needs of our alumni and friends in the 14 school districts.
Four years ago the OHPCC Alumni & Friends Association was formed. Staff, students, alumni, and community partners met to establish this group. Since then nine scholarships have been presented to high school and adult education graduates totaling $4,500.00. In addition, the Showcase of Success has inducted 16 alumni in order to recognize their accomplishments since graduating from OHPCC. Many of those inductees continue to provide expertise and service to current students and Career Center efforts.
Our focus this year is to build the membership of the association to continue to provide the scholarships and recognition to our students and alumni. In the near future, we want to provide ways to offer mentoring and networking with graduates to further build the community that was once forged while attending or serving at OHPCC.
