Becca Crum and Kaylin Trout advanced to Nationals after earning a Gold at the Ohio FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Columbus this past weekend.

Crum and Trout competed in the Chapter Showcase Display competition, highlighting the activities the chapter hosted during the school year and the impact the chapter has had on the school and community. This will be the duo’s second trip to Nationals in the Chapter Showcase Display competition.

“I’m incredibly proud of them,” commented Donna Beale, the students’ Culinary instructor, “to have a repeat trip to Nationals is something Becca and Kaylin worked very hard on to achieve. They knew what was expected them from last year, and they raised the bar.”

Becca Crum also earned a Silver medal in the Pastry Arts competition. Katie Finch earned a Silver medal in the Dining Room competition, and Rob Shobe and Dustin Kane received a Bronze medal in the Entrepreneurship competition.

Becca Crum, a senior in the Culinary program from Benjamin Logan, and Kaylin Trout, a senior in the Culinary program from Indian Lake, will compete at Nationals in July in Nashville, Tennessee.
